Information
Hire activities are dependent on river & weather conditions. If the
river is too high/low or in flood we can offer an alternative trip along the Montgomery Canal.
Fishing is not permitted anywhere on the river without the appropriate license or permit.
Please keep well away from fishing lines as you canoe down stream.
Do not disturb wildlife or spoil the enjoyment of other river users
Remember the countryside code and pick up all your rubbish, bring it back with you and we will dispose of it. Do not leave it on the river bank or in the water.
Wear clothes that you don't mind getting wet, along with old trainers, sandals or 'croc' style shoes.
Do not wear Jeans, boots or wellies.
You'll need a change of clothes in case you get wet.
Dry drums will keep your clothing, valuables and picnic safe.
Kingfisher Kayak hire will issue you with buoyancy aids.

Get back to basics camping on our field
Safety- please read carefully!!

Bouyancy aids must be worn at all times!

You must be able to swim at least 20 mtrs confidently.

All Adults in charge of children must be competent swimmers.

We have a strict policy of one adult per child under 11 yrs of age.

All under 18's must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Children must never be left unattended in a canoe or on a kayak.

You must have a mobile phone with you so you can contact help if needed.

Unfortunately, for safety reasons, we do not accept solo canoests

If you have any underlying health risks that may be aggravated by canoeing or kayaking, we advise you not to participate.

We reserve the right to refuse a hire if we do not feel you are capable of safely taking part in the activity

All hirers do so at their own risk and are responsible for any accompaning children.
